Words from the Prez, September 2010

From the September 2010 BEALine:

Welcome to school year 2010-2011!  I am honored to be serving as president of the Bartlesville Education Association.  We have an amazing group of leaders in this district and the negotiating team for BEA proved to be outstanding once again.  We are set with our new 2010-2011 negotiated agreement with ratification from our membership and school board approval. Important changes to the agreement include step increases, a $500 stipend for teachers topped out at step 25 and more competitive extra duty increments.  I want to personally thank Granger Meador for his leadership and expertise as Chief Negotiator.  The entire negotiating team gave up their personal time to meet, plan and negotiate for the teachers of Bartlesville.  I would like to thank them all for their dedication and leadership.

BEA has a powerful group of officers and building representatives.  I am blessed to work with such a caring and dedicated team. 

Bartlesville Education Association has a reputation in this state as a leading group of educators.  I would like to continue to provide support and direction to the teachers in this district with the same quality as your former BEA leaders.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
