Words from the Prez for October 2016

Happy Fall!

To me fall means, cooler weather, warmer clothes, and the changing of leaves. It also means fall break is almost here. If you are like me, you are well settled in to your year, but now feeling as if there are not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished that you want, and just desperately wanting to have some “down” time. I hope you all find some time to rest and relax during the break!

On another note, it is also election season. Although, it seems like it’s been this season for a while, it’s almost coming to an end. That being said, it’s time to get informed and also get out and vote. We will be offering an opportunity for you to hear local candidates at our Rep Meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 4:15 p.m. Please come to the Madison Library and listen to Julie Daniels, Dr. Jobe, and Rep. Travis Dunlap talk about their view on the issues and education.

There are many state questions on the ballot this time around, make sure you familiarize yourself with their numbers and what they mean.

But the most important thing is to get out and vote!! If you need coverage, or time to be able to vote and can’t get it from your building, please let us know.

Our next BEA meeting is Wednesday, October 12. I’d love to see you there!

Rachel Hough

BEA President
