Words from the Prez for April

I just returned from the Oklahoma Education Association Delegate Assembly where our local organization was honored with one of only four golden apples presented and the Five Star Local award.  I cannot express how proud I am of our local BEA.  We have a strong group of leaders working together for all of our membership.  I just wish all teachers understood how important it is for us to stand together and stay informed.  Granger has been absolutely amazing with his quick response and postings to our web page.  We are blessed to have him as our chief negotiator.

I would like to personally thank every building representative and officer.  Building Reps. have been faithful to attend meetings and share information with their buildings with such a positive attitude.  The BEA officers have been a close group willing to work hard, meet often and share in the responsibility to our membership.  Anytime I asked someone to help or take the ball and run, the response was always very positive.  Our BEA team is one of a kind.  As I step back into the past president roll I will not be stepping away.  Please know that I will always be a phone call or email away if anyone ever needs anything or has a question.  I have enjoyed my year as BEA President and am honored to have worked with you all!
