OK Teacher Pay Falls to 48th out of 51

According to just released NEA ranking and estimates for this year, Oklahoma has moved from 42nd to 48th in teacher pay among the 50 states and District of Columbia.
Oklahoma's average teacher salary was $43,846 compared to the national average of $54,319. Oklahoma is only above Utah, North Dakota and South Dakota, and remains last in its six state region.
