Summer Resignation?
If you find a different opportunity over the summer, you'll need to resign your position as soon as possible. The last day that you can resign and still retain your certificate is (approximately) June 12. After that day, the district can hold your certificate, meaning you will not be able to teach in the state of Oklahoma for the upcoming school year. If you're leaving education or the state, this is not an issue. If you plan on staying in education in Oklahoma, however, this could be an issue.
When resigning, you'll want to do it swiftly and notify your building administrator as well as the ESC (Dr. Curtis and Mrs. Chancellor). One resignation letter could be used for all three.

MOVING ON UP ... ON THE PAY SCALE?
If you have received an advanced degree or are moving up on the pay scale (Bachelors +15; Masters; etc...) please notify Angie Niko as soon as possible so she can get you where you need to be before next school year.

OEA OSAT and APK Targeted Support Sessions registration is now open for Summer, 2025! These online sessions are free for everyone! Sign up HERE.
