These are open to OEA members and non members who have less than 7 years experience. You can absolutely invite your buddy teacher (who is not a BEA member yet)! The vouchers are only for OEA members. The QR codes are linked below each picture.
Make Your Mark and VOTE!
Pay attention to these important dates concerning the general election:
October 14 - last day to register (must be RECEIVED by October 14)
October 17 - last day to request absentee ballot
November 2 - 5 - Early voting (check with your local election board for places and times
November 8 - General election
Heather Davis at Central has voter registration forms; she's also a notary and would be happy to notarize your absentee ballots!

Politics & Public Schools
Every legislative session there are hundreds of education bills floating through the capitol. Some make it through the process and become statute; some do not. Here are some important bills to be aware of. If you'd like more information on these or any other education bills, please contact an officer off contract time.
SB 1647--Universal Vouchers (failed on senate floor)
HB 3374--Community schools (in process)
HB 3767--Support Staff raises (not heard in committee)
HB 4388 --"$100,000 teacher pay" bill (not funded)
SB 1673 --raises OK Promise maximum income (this is a good thing!)
HB 4106--directs districts to maintain student mental health protocols (passed)
HB 3092--Drops the OGET for teacher certification (passed)
SB 3038--expands open transfer (passed)
