What Cool Thing Are You Doing?
Ashley Darsow, Agriculture teacher, is one cool teacher! This year, she's implemented Leadership Fridays. "Every other Friday, we either focus on personal leadership development or teamwork-oriented leadership activities. These range from fun group games that teach communication skills to personal leadership style quizzes to physical challenges that create a strong sense of community within the class. While we try to squeeze in a debrief after each activity, with our short class times and large group sizes, it doesn’t always work out. Despite that, I believe these Fridays have been incredibly valuable. They’ve helped build strong relationships with my students and created a classroom culture where we can all be 100% ourselves 100% of the time." For sharing her cool thing, Ashley will be receiving a gift card in the school mail.
