CIVICATION.
It's not too late to sign up for Civication! This is an opportunity to speak your voice, tell your stories, and make a difference at the capitol during the legislative session. There are two different trips: Overnight (going down on Monday and returning on Tuesday) and Day (going down Tuesday morning and returning that afternoon). Overnight trips are limited to members only. Day trips can include non-members as well.
Your overnight trip includes dinner and a hotel stay (double room) Monday night, breakfast on Tuesday morning, and a briefing so you know what topics and issues need to be addressed with our legislators. An officer will lead each trip. You'll purchase your own lunch on Tuesday. OEA will pay for your sub. You'll leave about 4:20pm on Monday evening and return (usually) by 4:00pm on Tuesday.

What Cool Thing Are You Doing?
Hadley Davis (Spanish, CMS) is asking her students's families for family pictures to help them with their Spanish vocabulary. This is a cool way for the students to see the relevance of their vocabulary and to show off their families. Most students don't know a parent has sent in a picture until they are displayed in class. It's also a super cool way to get parents involved in their students' education. Way to be cool, Hadley!
Are you doing something cool? If you are reading a good book, or listening to a great podcast, or going to a cool place or doing any cool thing, complete THIS FORM. You could win a gift card to some cool place and be featured in our enews!
