Civics + Education = CIVICATION!
Civication is an exciting opportunity for OEA members to connect with state lawmakers and make a difference in Oklahoma public education. Whether it’s meeting with lawmakers in your home districts or coming to the Capitol during the legislative session, OEA has you covered! Sign ups for Civication will start at our You Have A Voice meeting and will be sent out in our next enews. Sign up to attend a Civication HERE.

WE NEED YOU!
We have a couple of officer positions to fill for next year. We'll provide training, support and encouragement along the way. If you are ready to serve or think someone else would make a good leader in our association, please complete our NOMINATION FORM. We'll begin the process of filling offices shortly after second semester starts!

RETIRING?! Lucky you!
If you are retiring this year, please let your building rep or Heather Davis know so we can celebrate you at our end-of-year meeting! 🥳🎉🎉🎁

FRIEND OF EDUCATION
If you know of an individual (maybe a classroom volunteer? A school benefactor?) or a group (who has done cool things for your classroom or school?), nominate them for our BEA Friend of Education. We'll honor them at the Bruins of the Year celebration on April 23. NOMINATE THEM ON THIS FORM.

MEMBER BENEFIT HIGHLIGHT
Who doesn't love their furry family? NEA Pet Insurance is second to none! We want to protect and care for our family pets, but we don't want to spend exorbitant amounts of money when they need the care the most. The plans are customizable and you can get reimbursed up to 90% on eligible veterinary bills. Check it out today!

PROTECT YOUR TIME
Our "Meeting Limitations: Site leadership-directed meetings shall not exceed sixty (60) minutes per month per teacher off contract. Site leadership-directed meetings shall not exceed ten (10) planning periods per month maximum (not to exceed three (3) per week), per teacher."
To keep track of our meetings and help our conversations and eventual negotiations, please add your meetings to THIS FORM. If you notice that someone from your building has already added a meeting, there is no need to add it again.
