• We will set up your composition notebook to make it your Chemistry Lab Notebook. This requires very specific instructions so pay attention closely.

• Lab Notebook Setup Handout (this has been printed for you, keep the copy in your Chemistry binder)

  • • Lab notebooks MUST be set up exactly as instructed on the handout or you will lose points for each lab.

• The seat you sit in TODAY will be your assigned seat for the semester - choose wisely!

• The person you are sharing a table with TODAY will be your lab partner for the semester - choose wisely!

  • • There will not be any changing of lab partners after they are assigned.

    • If your lab partner is going to be gone, save the seat next to you for the absent person.

Emergency Passes

• Emergency Pass: You will be given two Emergency Passes once all of your paperwork and fees are paid. 

  • • Write your First and Last Name and Class Period on the back.

    • This can be used for:

      • • Emergency bathroom break. No Emergency Pass = no leaving for the bathroom.

        • Late assignment for full credit- you must complete the assignment and staple the Emergency Pass to the top of the paper and turn it in the make-up bin.

        • +5pts extra credit each - if you have not used your Emergency Pass by the end of the semester, you can turn it in for +5 points extra credit each (ex. if you have both at the end of the semester, you earn +10 Xcred).

Backpacks

• Backpacks should be in your locker - no backpacks in class.

• On lab days - you will need lab shoes (that cover your entire foot) so you will need to remember to bring them to class with you or put a pair in your chemistry lab locker

Phones

• Place them in the phone holder in the correct slot with your number. *You will get a number on Wednesday, for now just put it in any slot*

• Assigned number is the same as your chromebook number - write it down!

Chromebooks

• Use only your assigned chromebook. Write your number down. *You will get a chromebook number on Wednesday, for now just pick one*

• Plug them in every single time you return them to your assigned slot in the cart.
