The Black Hills includes state and federal parks which offer equestrian activities. Campgrounds with equine facilities are French Creek Horse Camp in Custer State Park, Sheps Canyon Recreation Area, Fort Meade Horse Camp and Bear Butte State Park.

The Annual Ranchers Quarter Horse Breeders Association Sale is held the 4th Sunday of August and features select foals from member ranches and invited saddle horses. They feature a Yearling Futurity and a Two and Three Year old Ranch Horse Futurity. Make your plans to come join them for the day in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
