Purpose: The purpose of this announcement is to provide staff with information on a housing opportunity.

Description:

The Eviction Assistance Unit is available to assist individuals facing evictions.

Workers should encourage youth residing in an apartment to take advantage of this resource if they are facing eviction by calling 410.878.8650. Youth may qualify for funding from Adult Services, EA Grant, RAP program, or from the Community Assistance Network.

The Community Assistance Network, Inc. (CAN) is a private, nonprofit, community

action agency that offers several resources and services to people in their time of need. CAN responds to local needs of low and moderate income families. They have several offices in the area, but the main office is located at Merritt Point Center, 7701 Dunmanway, 21222, phone (410) 285-4674.
