With over twenty years of teaching experience, I have had many opportunities to serve on committees, work with community people, develop curriculum, work with assessment and accreditation, and always the ubiquitous budgets. I enjoy finding creative solutions to difficult challenges whether monetary, personnel, or musical. Finding ways to say “yes” instead of “no” should be the hallmark of a good administrator. Supporting colleagues, mentoring students and new faculty, and being the “face” of the department are just a few of the roles I have fulfilled in my teaching career. From designing departmental brochures and recruiting strategies, to developing curriculum, budgets and faculty training, I am well versed in many areas of administration.
