We are pleased to announce that the Vermont Arts Council has awarded the CLFHA with a grant to replace the existing ceiling lights in the Pierce House Museum with more efficient LED track lighting. This will help showcase our displays in the museum with the biggest change in the carriage house where the baseball exhibit is displayed. More to come as work begins in fall 2026.Â
We are pleased to announce that the CLFHA has been awarded a grant of $2000 from the Vermont Community Foundation to host Barton Celebrates! festival in August 2027. Our committee will be busy planning for this event in the off season. Visitors can look forward to free live music, the 4th Annual Taste of Barton, history tours, and vendors that made this festival such a success!
Replacing the old handicap ramp that led up to the front doors of the Pierce House Museum was long overdue as the boards were rotting and falling apart. Thanks to the efforts of the folks who worked for Habitat For Humanity (St. Johnsbury), they were able to construct a new ramp that will allow wheelchair access to all parts of the museum (Summer 2025).
