Other Fundraisers
In addition to the primary fundraisers organized by the Barton School Foundation, there are a number of smaller fundraisers that are sponsored by classrooms or individuals in the community.
King of the Log
Join us for a day of fun Barton fundraising at King of the Log from mid August to the first weekend in October at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Volunteer half the day and enjoy the Fest half the day. To sign-up contact Char Thomasson, charbt@juno.com or call 612-825-8070. Get ready to rumble! Check out www.kingofthelog.com.
Used Book Fair
The Used Book Fair is held during the days leading up to Student Author Night and provides families an opportunity to bring in used books to share and to purchase used books at a very low price.
Wild Rumpus Book Fair
The Wild Rumpus Book Fair is a fun autumn Barton tradition. New Barton families should know it’s a fun time to see other Barton families, have some cookies and cider, hear some local Barton talent and look at a great variety of books! Ten percent of all sales on the designated day go towards Barton School. While many families know about Wild Rumpus, a wonderful children’s bookstore but if you have never been there it is worth a family field trip.
