I have had an interest in photography since, at the age of 11, I received a Kodak Instamatic 25. As soon as I could afford it, I upgraded to a Zenith E SLR. As this was a basic, totally manual camera, it was necessary to learn all the technical aspects of taking an image. The relationship between aperture and depth of field, and how to set the shutter speed to get the correct exposure.

In 2010, I decided to take voluntary redundancy from my IT job and become a professional photographer. I have trained as a wedding photographer at "The Trained Eye" academy. I have extensive training in studio lighting, portrait photography, working with natural light. I've also attended a number of masterclasses with some of the most respected photographers across the world. To drop a couple of names, John Denton, Mark Cleghorn.

For my own pleasure, I love photographing wildlife, although I don't have the patience to wait for hours waiting for the wildlife to show.
