Take Bug Report on Android

This is useful for sending logs to an app developer so they can work out reasons for crashes etc.

1. Make the Developer Options menu available by tapping 7 times on the Build number in Settings->About Phone.

2. Enable Developer Options in Settings->Developer options by making Off -> On.

3. Enable USB Debugging by selecting it in Settings->Developer options, and choosing OK. Now the Take Bug Report option is available and enabled.

   1. Select Take bug report in Settings->Developer options 

• 1. Click Report in the next dialog.

• 1. Wait a minute or three.

  2. Find a notification saying Bug report captured and click on it (twice if on lock screen).

• 1. Read and digest the warning message, then click OK.

• 1. Choose your desired method of sending report to developer - Gmail works for me.

• 1. If sending email, modify the To field, the Subject, and add any other useful information to the body of the email. Also check that there is a txt file attachment there - if missing then repeat from step 4 above. Then click Send.
