Commission Meeting Minutes

Date: December 13, 2021

Present: Susan Jacobson, Lynn Divine, Bob Sanger, Jayson Nohl and John Nyara

Members of the Public: Dennis Pocernich and Angela Truchon

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:15pm by Chairperson Susan Jacobson after determining a quorum was present.

Verification of open meeting notice posted: Jayson Nohl verified the meeting was posted at three locations Lake Shore Drive, Barksdale Town Hall and Bono Creek Boat Landing

Reading and Approval of meeting minutes from September 13, 2021: Lynn Divine motioned to dispense with reading the minutes and approve them as written John Nyara second the motion all were in favor, motion passed.

Discussion on rewriting the Comprehensive Plan Booklet: Lynn Divine reported the County would be rewriting their comprehensive plan in late 2022 into 2023. It was decided by the plan commission members to table discussion on finalizing the rewrite of the Towns Comprehensive Plan Booklet until later in 2022.

Public Comment:

  • Dennis Pocernich recommended the plan commission should consider whether or not to allow Water Bottling and Deer Farms within our Town.

  • Angela Truchon asked whether or not the plan commission has ever considered rezoning parcels of land and changing the land use map. Jayson Nohl replied the plan commission has done this in the past but it would take a public hearing and a resolution to do so.

Bono Creek Boat Landing Update: The dock at the landing has been removed for the winter and a "no parking" sign has been placed directly across from the boat landing ramp.

The plan commission set the quarterly meeting dates for 2022

  • March 7, 2022 at 6:00pm

  • June 13, 2022 at 6:00pm

  • September 12, 2022 at 6:00pm

  • December 12, 2022 at 6:00pm

Jayson Nohl motioned to adjourn, Lynn Divine second the motion all were in favor. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM
