Present: John Nyara, Chairman • Chris Bretting, Supervisor • Jayson Nohl, Supervisor • Susan Sanders, Treasurer • Angela Truchon, Clerk

Call To Order: Meeting called to order at 6:38 pm following the caucus by John Nyara, Chairman. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Verification of Posting: A. Truchon, Clerk confirmed the Agenda was posted and published.
Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: C. Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the December 10. 2024, meeting minutes, seconded by J. Nohl. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Comprehensive Plan update: J.Nohl reported that the new comp plan booklets should be done by the next meeting. J. Nohl informed Clerk that the minutes from the comp plan meeting need to on the February agenda so they can be read and approved. The next meeting will be on March 10 at 6:00 p.m.
Cozy Corner Road update: Road is complete except for a few touch up items on a punch list that will be done in the spring. Sue is finishing up the form for the grant and once we receive the grant we will combine both the Cozy Corner and the remaining Ondossagon Road Loans into one loan.
Ondossagon Road update and possible action: At the December meeting Max Lindsey the towns attorney gave an update on the action that can be taken against Luppino and MSR. The board gave Max the authority to take it to arbitration.
Ondossagon School Update: The owner of the Ondossagon School was not in attendance at the meeting to provide an update. Dennis Pocernich said that the county applied for an assessment grant to assess if it is worth remediation.
Bono Creek Update: J. Nyara again stated that a 36” X 73’ culvert was installed this fall at Bono Creek. Bayfield County currently has $30K of state funding that’s available and is able to secure until the end of May 2025 to blacktop the road into Bono Creek which will help offset the total cost of the blacktopping of $55K. C Bretting is working on trying to get a transient ordinance A. Truchon said that she had received a request for information from John French for work done on the boat ramp. As the request needs to be specific in what they are looking for in the FOIA and he requested information specifically on the boat ramp clerk was instructed to let him know that:
1. The DNR owns the boat ramp
2. The was nothing done on the actual boat ramp
NEW BUSINESS:
Public input: D. Pocernich made a comment regarding the tax increase due to the school referendum and stated that the percentage of change is never going to be the same across the board. He also mentioned that the school board meetings are live and can be viewed by anyone with computer access and also the County board meeting are on Teams for viewing.
Website: S. Sanders asked about possibly doing an update on the website so that it could be a little bit more user friendly. She recommended looking at the town of washburns and the town of bayiews. Many of the towns constituents have made comments that the current town’s website is not vry user friendly. Clerk will see if Marsh can come to our next board meeting.
Clerk will also look into getting emails that are wi.gov and look into the election grant if we change the domain name.
Road Foreman’s Report: D. Lucuis reported that he has been doing maintenance on the equipment and cleaning the shop.
Clerks Report: A. Truchon mentioned the district meeting is coming up in April and if any of the board member want to attend to let her know. There is a Northwoods Tech Board position open if anyone is interested in running, and the county has been sending permit copies via email for the towns files.
Chairman’s Report: Nothing to report.
Treasurer’s Report: See Attached. S Sanders reported that the WTA meeting will be January 25, 2025 .
Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 7:00 pm
Monthly Bills: J. Nohl made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills presented, seconded by C. Bretting. Motion carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business meeting to conduct, J. Nohl made a motion and seconded by C. Bretting to adjourn the meeting at 8:42 pm.
