Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nyara at 7:00 p.m.
Verification of Posting: Clerk Truchon confirmed the meeting notice was posted at the Town Hall, Lakeshore Drive, and the Town Website.
Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with the reading of the September 10, 2024 minutes and to approve them as written, seconded by Nohl. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Comprehensive Plan update: Jayson reported that the zoning map we currently have will need to be updated as it has an area that shows commercial which should be agriculture, as it has always been ag. We will need to hold a public hearing and then have the map reprinted. The new books have been printed for the comp plan. Bretting made a motion to hold a public meeting at 7:00 pm on December 10, Nohl seconded. Motion carried. The next comp plan meeting will be held on December 9, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
Cozy Corner Road discussion and possible action: The culvert that the engineers had removed from the plans was put back in and the culvert has been installed. The road will have both layers of pavement by the end of October and should be finished by end of the year.
Cozy Corner Road Funding: Made Pay Request #3 on October 2, 2024 for $481221.45
Ondossagon Road: Nothing new
Ondossagon School: Dave Reto said that he had a meeting with the county, C&S Design and other participants regarding the School and he also stated that new grants will not come out until May of 2025.
Bono Creek: The culvert was put in today. The DOT has to spend the money this year for the paving or we lose it. Should remove the guardrail but then should put dead-end signs. Chris will talk to Coleman for an ordinance regarding Bono Creek activity. Dale suggested putting a gate up.
NEW BUSINESS:
Public input:
Fred Brocher asked about an application for his rental on Suhan Road. Sue said that yes he can get an application.
Budget Workshop will be held on November 11th, 2024 at 6:00 pm
Public Meeting for the Budget Hearing will be held on November 19th at 7:00 pm
Road Foreman’s Report: No major breakdowns, hauling gravel, replacing culverts and removed blocks from Bono.
Clerks Report: Received a letter from the DNR that McKain’s on Range Road received notice that the property they purchased needs to be restored back to wetlands. We also received a copy of the short term rental application the county will be using.
Chairman’s Report: Nothing new
Treasurer’s Report: See attached report.
Next Meeting: The next regular meeting date is November 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm
Approval of Bills: Nyara made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Bretting, Motion carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business Nyara made a motion to adjourn Bretting seconded. Motion carried Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
