Comprehensive Plan Update:
The next meeting will be held on June 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Norvado Update:
Guy Folsom gave an update on the installation of the fiber optic. All the requests to have the fiber run to homes need to be requested by June 15th for free installation. To sign up you must have a fire number. Do not need to sign up for service to get line run to home. He said the plan is to start the week after next. They will be starting on the North end of Barksdale. People interested in the service can go online and see the different plans available.
Ondossagon Road:
Have heard nothing recently from attorney Lindsey.
Update on Town Zoning:
Will be having an information meeting on June 13th from 5-7 before the regular meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
Public Input:
Ron Pagac made a comment that there are people who are interested in applying for the town road job.
Mary Woods said that there is construction materials that have been dumped in the old dump, roofing materials and plastic. There are concerns about Northern Interstate dumping materials in pit as well.
Fred Brocker again said that he has concerns about the town plowing driveways for residents. He feels that the fee should be increased to make it fair for all town residents as he feels that not all residents are getting a fair share.
Road Foreman’s Report:
Dave reported that they have been grading, patching and mowing. Jayson mentioned that all trees and rocks on forest roads must be removed to avoid liability. Trees on towns right of way must be removed and removed off right of way. Tom ordered bumpers for the dock down at Bono Creek. This year we should get $20,000 from the DNR for gravel and rock for the Forest Roads. We received a quote for the culvert and liners on Mashlan Road which would be approximately $160,000.00.
