Town Of Barksdale Board Meeting
Date: February 8, 2022

Members of the Public Present: None
Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Nyara at 7 p.m.
Verification of Posting: Truchon confirmed the meeting notice was posted.
Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: . Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading of the January 11, 2022 Minutes and to approve them as written, seconded by Nohl. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Comprehensive Plan Update:
Jayson reported that the quarterly comp meeting will be held on March 7, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
Grant Updates:
Cozy Corner Rd. Update: Cooper Engineer submitted the FLAP and TRID grant applications. Waiting to here back on the information.
ARPA Grant: The board would like to do something with the skating rink. Will need to get some prices for cost and will need to get a footprint and a design for a new warming house. Talked about putting a bathroom upstairs and will need to get prices and cost on this as well.
STP-Rural BIL Grants: These grants need to be engineered. Will set up meeting to talk with the Town of Washburn board regarding Engoe Road to see if we can get a grant to do this road.
Ondossagon Road:
John reported that he spoke with Lindsey and he asked if anyone had gotten ahold of us from Luppino or their representative. John reported that we have not. Lindsey has been in contact with Luppino’s bonding company and asked if we would like someone other than Luppino to redo the work that needs to be done. John said that it sounds like we will likely get something for the road repair. The board said they would see what Luppino proposed regarding redoing the road but all members were in agreement that they would prefer to have someone else.
NEW BUSINESS:

Road Foreman's Report:
Dave reported that CAT put a new water pump in loader and had the equipment serviced. He adjusted the shoes and will try them again to see if the adjustment works better. Reminded clerk to put road posting in the paper as of March 1st. Nothing more to report.
Clerk’s Report:
Clerk reported that received a refund check from Chicago Iron and also received a check from the Town of Eileen for the invoice for the culverts on Fischer Road. April 9th is the WTA meeting in Cable and is $60 per person (Sue, Jayson and John said they will go; Chris and Angie are maybes). Clerk had nothing further to report.
Chairman’s Report:
Chairman reported that there will be a public testing of the voting equipment on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Chairman had nothing further to report.
Treasurer’s Report:
Treasurer’s report is attached.
Next Meeting:
The next meeting date is March 8, 2022, at 7:00 at the Barksdale Town Hall.
Approval of Bills:
Bretting made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Nohl. Motion carried.
