OLD BUSINESS

Comprehensive Plan Update:
John reported the committee reviewed the booklet last night. Lynn said the Comprehensive Plan at the county level will be completed next year and we will be able to finalize the town's after the county's is complete. The next meeting will be on July 8, 2021 and the meeting will be posted.

Grant Updates:
The LFRF grant is due on June 18, 2021 to be eligible for the state funding.

5,522 vehicles were counted on Cozy Corner Road for the month of June.

Pierce Road:
No action yet. Waiting to see when Vernon’s building permit is finalized and would like to get a soil sample of the road about 100 feet to see if additional work would need to be done on this road before paving. Questions were made regarding if this was already put to a motion to pay for the 1⁄2 cost of paving and need to check in prior minutes to confirm.

Public Nuisance Ordinance:
It was reported that there have been some kayaks being launched at Bono Creek landing but there does not seem to be any complaints or issues at this time.

Xcel Line:
The temporary Xcel line will be up for approximately 1 to 1 1⁄2 years. Once the mainline is redone the temporary line will then come down. Xcel needs easement for the small 1.63 acre piece still in the Barksdale Sanitary District Name. Truchon said she has tried to contact Xcel regarding this and has not had any luck getting a contact back from their representative. The new structures for the mainline are steel structures with double circuits that will be placed on a single pole, (not double poles with single circuits). Xcel will be matting all areas they are working due to their environmental impact policy.

NEW BUSINESS:

Public Input:
Ron Pagac again questioned if we had received any quotes from Midland and was informed that we again this year will get quotes from all fuel companies.

Thomas Parr introduced himself to the board. He is the neighbor next to the Town Hall property. There is a small piece of property the town owns that was talked about previously being transferred to the prior owner which appeared did not happen and the board questioned if Mr. Parr would be interested in that happening now that he owns the property. Mr. Parr said he would be interested and the board recommended discussing this further at the next board meeting.

No other public input.

Road Foreman’s Report and Discussion of Road Inspection:
Lucius stated that everything is going well. Dave reported that Lakeshore Drive is in need of a new culvert. The culvert would be a flatter more triangular 20’ culvert. Dave was instructed to go ahead and get a price.

He also reported that Ken Compton had talked with him regarding a small cat forklift that he would be selling for $1000 and wanted to know if the Town was interested in purchasing this.

Clerk’s Report:
Clerk had nothing new to report at this time.

Chairman’s Report:
John reported that he is the new chairman of Bay Area Solid Waste. They had a meeting last Wednesday and they will now be serviced by Eagle Waste/Republic. BASW voted to purchase new equipment and a new compactor for $74,000.00 and have a 5 year contract with Republic.

Treasurer’s Report:
Sue reported she attended the Towns Association Meeting and they talked about the “Covid Funds” grant. She said they explained the towns would get 1⁄2 this year and 1⁄2 next year. The new board for Towns Association is Tony Johanik-Chair, Sandy Raspotnik- Vice Chair, and Sue Sandor-Treasurer.

A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.
