Members of the Public Present:

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine confirmed it was posted and sent for publication.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Nyara made a motion to dispense with reading the May 12, 2020 Minutes, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Comprehensive Plan Update: The Commission met last night to review a Class A Special Use Permit for Neal and Lee Ann Schroeter. The permit was to approve signage for their Kayak Training business. It is requested to be placed near the driveway located on Wannabo Road. The commission recommended the permit for approval. Following the permit request, the commission members continued reviewing and updating the comprehensive plan.

Grant Updates: Nothing new to report. Nyara will invite Joan Whitman to attend the next meeting, as she will be in the area.

NEW BUSINESS:

Public Input: None.

Permit Request: A Class A Special Use Permit for Neal and Lee Ann Schroeter was received requesting approval to place a sign for their Kayak Training business at the intersection of the driveway and Wannabo Road. Bretting made a motion to approve the Class A Special Use Permit for Neal and Lee Ann Schroeter to place a sign where requested, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Renewal of Class B Combination Liquor Licenses: Bretting made a motion to approve the renewal of the Class B Combination Liquor License for SLAM, LLC, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Bretting made a motion to approve the renewal of the Class B Combination Liquor License for Topside Tavern, LLC contingent upon receiving the license fee of $300.00, the Personal Property Taxes being paid and the legal notice being published in the Daily Press as required by law. The motion was seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Paving East Ondossagon Road: A bid to pave East Ondossagon Road was received by Northwoods Paving in the amount of $89,481.65. Nyara made a motion to approve the bid to pave East Ondossagon Road as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Snowplowing: The Board and road crew discussed certain properties that need special attention before they can be plowed during the 2020/2021 winter season. A list will be prepared and Divine will send letters to those landowners prior to the season contracts being mailed out.

Renewal of Cooperative Agreement with U.S. Forest Service for Mainenance of Forest Roads: Divine received communication from Mark Beuning of the U. S. Forest Service, stating that our SAM’s account has expired and must be renewed in order to receive grants to help maintain the forest roads. Divine is working with Mark to get the SAM account renewed.

Road Foreman’s Report and Discussion of Road Inspection: Lucius stated that mowing operations are on-going. The culvert for Lake Shore Drive has been ordered. Machinery and tires are all doing good. He has not heard anything on the status of the new grader. He will look into having marking and seal-cracking done.

Clerk’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.

Next Meeting: The next meeting date is July 14th at 7:00 p.m.

Monthly Bills: Nyara made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
