Members of the Public Present:
Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.
Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine confirmed it was posted and sent for publication.
Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Nyara made a motion to dispense with reading the June 9, 2020 Minutes, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Comprehensive Plan Update: Jayson Nohl indicated that the commission met the previous night to review a permit request from Richard Vernon. The request was for building a new home and then moving the existing home upon its completion. Nohl stated that the commission voted to recommendation that the town board approve the permit.
Grant Updates: Joan Whitman, Dave Lucius and the board members will meet at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16th to inspect Cozy Corner Road and go over seeking grant monies to conduct maintenance on that road.
NEW BUSINESS:
Public Input: John Nyara asked about the town’s plans for a 2020 Annual Picnic. The item will be placed on the August agenda. As of this time it is still planned to be held.
Jayson Nohl recommended finding an alternative posting place for Topside Tavern. They are closed a good portion of the time and it is difficult to post meetings there. Nyara will see if Sparky’s will agree to be our third posting place.
Permit Request: A Class A Special Use Permit for Richard Vernon to build a new home and then move the existing home upon its completion. Nyara made a motion to approve the Class A Special Use Permit for Richard Vernon, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.
Striping and Crack-sealing Roads: Striping and Crack-sealing will be done in August or September. Lucius will set it up. Cherryville and Range Roads are in need of striping.
Road Foreman’s Report and Discussion of Road Inspection: Lucius will order traffic signs for the intersections of Range, FR 500, Cozy Corner. The new grader is scheduled to arrive in August. Mowing continues to be done.
Clerk’s Report: Nothing new to report.
Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.
Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.
Next Meeting: The next meeting date is August 11th at 7:00 p.m. We will meet in the garage due to the Partisan Primary Election.
Monthly Bills: Nyara made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
