Present: Dennis Pocernich, John Nyara; Chris Bretting; Lynn Divine; Susan Sanders

Absent: None

Other’s Present: David Lucius, Road Foreman; Joan Whitman, Grant Writer

Members of the Public Present: Dave Maki

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine confirmed it was posted and sent for publication.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the July 14, 2020 Minutes, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Comprehensive Plan Update: Divine informed the Board that she had just received two Class A Permit Requests for lakeshore mitigation for Bernard Larson and Reino Hill. She requested to call special meetings for the both the Comprehensive Plan Commission and the Town Board to expedite the permitting process as there is not much time left for the work to be done before winter sets in. It was decided to hold the special meetings on the same day, September 19th, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Grant Updates: See Item 2 of New Business.

NEW BUSINESS:

Public Input: None.

Cozy Corner Road: Joan Whitman has begun looking into PASER grants, but needs the Town Chairman to request her access to the TAS system so she may obtain and provide all of the data needed to proceed. Pocernich will contact the DOT to authorize her accessibility to the system.

Annual Picnic: As of this date, the Picnic is scheduled to be held on September 12th. Final details will be discussed at the Special Meeting on August 19.

Road Foreman’s Report and Discussion of Road Inspection: Lucius will ordered traffic signs for the intersections of Range, FR 500, FR 245 and Cozy Corner. The new grader is scheduled to arrive in September. Mowing continues to be done. A culvert was replaced on Engoe Road and we will receive Bridge Aid for it. Half of the municipal costs incurred will be billed to the Town of Washburn.

Clerk’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.

Next Meeting: The next meeting date is September 8th at 7:00 p.m.

Monthly Bills: Bretting made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
