NEW BUSINESS:

Public Input: Chad Abel was present to discuss the options for the culvert replacement on his property. That item is addressed in New Business below.

Request for Class A Special Use Permit: A Class A Special Use Permit was received from Ruth Oppedahl to construct a garage with living quarters on her property located at 29805 Wedal Road. Bretting made a motion to approve the Class A Special Use Permit for Ruth Oppedahl, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Request for Class A Special Use Permit: A Class A Special Use Permit was received from CTD LLC to have a residence moved from 25810 Cozy Corner Road to 25070 Cozy Corner Road. A new residence was constructed at the 25810 site. The new location will also have a septic system installed. Bretting made a motion to approve the Class A Special Use Permit for CTD LLC, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Bjork Road/Bono Creek Erosion and Culvert Replacement: Because of the project being located within a designated trout stream, the DNR requires projects to be done by October 1st. They will grant a permit extension so the town can qualify for county bridge aid for 2019. The culvert will be replaced at an angle 20’ north of the current pipe. A new trench will be dug and the old one filled in.

Beaver Control: The beaver dam off of Wickstrom Road is not within the Town’s right-of-way, so it was agreed that the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture would enter into a Cooperative Service Agreement with us as they can go outside of the right-of-way. The Town will pay the $650.00 fee for the project and then bill the U.S. Fish and Wildlife for reimbursement as this is within the Whittlesey Creek Wildlife Refuge.

Snowplowing: The Board reviewed the contract. It remains the same as last year. Sanders will be mailing the contract out with a deadline of October 15th. The road crew will compile a list of troublesome properties. No driveways will be plowed without a contract.

Former Ondossagon School: Tabled.

Annual Picnic: The annual picnic was not well attended this year. Next year reminder notices will be sent a couple weeks before the event.

Road Foreman’s Report: The crew is keeping busy with mowing, culvert replacements and grading the forest roads. Things are going well. A box ad for Salt/Sand bids will be placed in the paper prior to next months’ meeting.

Clerk’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on October 8th, at 7:00 p.m.

Monthly Bills: Nyara made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Lynn M. Divine, Clerk
