Present: Dennis Pocernich, John Nyara; Chris Bretting, Lynn Divine; Susan Sanders

Absent: None

Other’s Present: David Lucius; Jayson Nohl

Members of the Public Present: Tom Sanders; Mike Mlynarek; Curtis Klein and Susan Klein

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine confirmed it was posted and sent for publication.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Nyara made a motion to dispense with reading the November 12, 2019, Minutes, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Comprehensive Plan Update: Nohl reported that the commission met on December 9th. During 2019, the commission met seven times, including the quarterly meetings. Six permits were reviewed and all were recommended for approval to the Town Board. The commission continues to review and update the Comprehensive Plan. A representative from the Northwest Regional Planning Commission will be attending the next meeting to discuss the Economic Development element for the plan.

Grant Updates: Nothing new to report.

Snowplowing: There are still a few people sending in applications for snowplowing.

NEW BUSINESS:

Public Input: Mike Mlynarek stated that finding a replacement for his past position is on hold. Hiring throughout the US Fish & Wildlife is at a standstill for now. He added that Bridget Olson will be in the area in February and encouraged the Board to meet with her at that time for updates and discussion of concerns.

2020 – 2021 Election Officials: Pocernich appointed all of the current election officials for the 2020 – 2021 term. The officials are: Larry Chase, Jayson Nohl, John Nyara, Susan Jacobson, Betty Chambers, Charlene Swanson, Patricia Strombert, Mollie Grinell, Beth Palma, Tammy Bretting and Georgia Hogg.

Ondossagon School Property: Nothing new to report.

Road Foreman’s Report: Lucius reported there have been some issues with the equipment recently, including the dump truck getting stuck and needing a tow, repairs to the John Deere and some major issues with the grader. It was decided to get the repairs done to the grader and then see about possibly selling it.

Pocernich received a copy of the shared roads agreement from the Town of Washburn. He listing the items on the report and Lucius verified that it was accurate.

Nyara commended all of the operators for a job well done during this heavy snowfall period.

Clerk’s Report: Divine will be attending a workshop on Election Security on December

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on January 14th, at 7:00 p.m.

Monthly Bills: Nyara made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
