Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.
Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine confirmed it was posted. Pocernich verified that it was published.
Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the October 9, 2018, Minutes, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Comprehensive Plan Update: Nothing new to report. Next quarterly meeting will be held on Monday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m.
Grant Updates: Nothing new to report.
Snowplowing Update: Sanders indicated that 77 contracts have been returned in the amount of $12,100.
NEW BUSINESS:
Public Input: Denise Bosak, who is a bus driver for the Washburn School District, thanked the Board and road crew for keeping the roads plowed for nicely. The Wilsons were present to request that Wedal culvert be repaved. Repaving is in the 2019 plans.
Resolution 02-2018: Resolution 02-2018 was presented to the Board. It is regarding entering into a joint grant application through the U.S. Forest Service and Centurylink to provide much needed broadband coverage to the area. The Towns of Bayview, Washburn and Barksdale are the joint municipalities and the service will cover property owners in the 373 phone exchange.
Bretting made a motion to approve Resolution 02-2018, with a maximum monitary contribution of $5,000, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.
Ondossagon Project Loan: Sanders presented the proposed loan documents to refinance the Ondossagon Road project loan in the amount of $774,261.00 for a period of 14 years, with semi-annual payments of $35,367.50, to begin on April 1, 2019. Nyara made a motion to approve the Ondossagon Road Loan Refinance as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.
Former Ondossagon School Property: Tabled.
Xcel Transmission Line: Roy Settgas and Dennis Weibel were present to see if the Board is willing to sign a statement directed to the Bayfield County Administrator, regarding the proposed transmission line or lines Xcel Energy is proposing for the future. There was much discussion from all present. The item will be placed on the December agenda for possible action.
Road Foreman Report: Everything is going smoothly for the winter season.
Clerk’s Report: The budget workshop has been set for Tuesday, November 20th at 5:00 p.m.
John Nyara reminded everyone of the WTA bi-monthly meeting to be held on Monday, November 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the Pilsen Town Hall.
Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.
Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached.
Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on December 11th, at 7:00 p.m. It will be preceded by the annual Budget Hearing and special meetings.
Monthly Bills: Nyara made a motion to accept and approve the monthly bills as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
