Present: Dennis Pocernich, John Nyara; Chris Bretting; Lynn Divine; Susan Sanders

Absent: None.

Other’s Present: David Lucius, Mike Mlynarek, US Fish & Wildlife; Phil Kriesel, MSA

Members of the Public Present: Dave Maki; Tom Sanders;

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Divine indicated that it was posted, but did not get in the paper.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the January 10, 2017, Minutes, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Update on US Fish & Wildlife Activities: Mike Mlynarek reminded everyone of the meeting time, for those who can make it, to meet the new regional supervisor, Bridget Olson. The meeting will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Bayfield County Emergency Operations Center. Mlynarek will be showing Olson the area during her stay, and she will be meeting other agencies that USFW have a working relationship with.

Comprehensive Plan Update: Nothing new to report. The Committee is scheduled to meet on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. There are no known permit requests pending.

Ondossagon Road Update: See New Business.

Grant Update: Nothing new to report.

Snowplowing: Tom Tibbets called inquiring why his driveway hasn’t been plowed. Sanders indicated that he did not respond to his letter asking whether he wanted the service or not. He will be sent a new application, but will have to pay the late fee.

Guy Folsom’s mother, Dorothy Folsom, is new to the town and has requested to be plowed. She will be sent an application and will not be charged a late fee.

NEW BUSINESS

Public Input: There was no public input. Bretting requested that research be done to see when the appointment to the scenic byway commission is due to be renewed. Divine will look into it.

Renewal of Pest Control Contract: Divine has not received an e-mail for the contract as of this date. Bretting made a motion to approve the renewal of the Plunkett’s pest control contract when it is received, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

Road Limits: Road limits will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on March 1, 2017. Divine will place a box ad in the Daily Press three times.

Boat Ramp for Bono Creek: Bretting discussed several options for placing a removable dock at the Bono Creek site. This has been tabled pending more research.

Ondossagon Road Project: Phil Kriesel discussed several topics regarding the project, including replacing culverts. He will try to be at the March meeting to answer specific questons of the public. A public meeting will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. to update anyone interested in attending about the plans and progress for the Ondossagon Road Project.

Divine will check into the legal process for contacting Daniel Thoreson Sr. and Jr. about the rock formation obstructing the town right-of-way.

Road Crew Report: Lucius indicated that things are going well.

Clerk’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: Sanders provided the monthly report. A copy is attached to these Minutes. Paying off the existing loan has been placed on hold.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.

Expenditures: The expenditures were reviewed and checks approved and signed. Nyara made a motion to accept the expenditures as presented, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
