Other’s Present: David Lucius, Road Crew; Mike Mlynarek, US Fish & Wildlife

Members of the Public Present: Dave Maki; Jayson Nohl, Bob Divine; Tom Sanders; Brendon and Jenna Jack

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Pocernich verified that the meeting notice was published. Divine verified that the meeting notice was posted.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the February 9, 2016, Minutes, seconded by Nyara. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Update on US Fish & Wildlife Activities: Mike Mlynarek stated that he has returned to work and is busy trying to catch up on things. He inquired whether the Town was reimbursed by the County for the Wickstrom Bridge project. The board indicated that we were reimbursed for a portion of the bridge and for part of the asphalt costs. He reminded the board that signs will need to be placed on bridge posts. Lucius indicated that they have been ordered.

Comprehensive Plan Update: Nohl indicated that the Commission met for their regular quarterly meeting to go over the Comprehensive Plan and discussed CAFOs. The commission was approached by Scott and Ann Kranz to consider rezoning part of their property from agricultural to commercial. Their intention is to construct a bar and grill on the commercial portion.

Ondossagon Road Update: Nothing new to report.

Snowplowing Update: All is going well. This item will be removed until fall.

NEW BUSINESS

Public Input: There was no public input.

Hiring a New Road Foreman: After discussion on how to proceed with hiring a new Road Foreman, Bretting made a motion to post the position in the Daily Press with a deadline for applications to be received by March 21, 2016. The motion was seconded by Nyara. Motion carried. A Special Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. to review the applications received.

Road Crew Report: Lucius indicated that things are going well. Several signs have been orderd, including the signs for the Wickstrom Bridge and a 5 ton weight limit for traffic on Lake Shore Drive, which will be posted year-round.

Clerk’s Report: There was nothing new to report.

Chairman’s Report: Pocernich received a letter from the Forest Service indicating changes in who are local contact is. They are consolidating some of the districts.

Treasurer’s Report: A monthly report was given to the Board by Tom Sanders, as Sue was not present. A copy is attached to these Minutes.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.

Expenditures: The expenditures were reviewed and checks approved and signed. Pocernich made a motion to accept the expenditures as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
