Call To Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pocernich at 7:00 p.m.

Verification of Posting and Publishing: Pocernich verified that the meeting notice was published. Divine verified that the meeting notice was posted.

Approval of Previous Month’s Minutes: Bretting made a motion to dispense with reading the July 12, 2016, Minutes, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Update on US Fish & Wildlife Activities: Mike reiterated the e-mail he sent everyone regarding vandalism at the agency’s property at the Coaster Classroom and Kiosk area. There was minimal damage and nothing of value was stolen. He requested that everyone be vigilant and to let him know if anything suspicious is seen. Mike indicated that this type of activity on U.S.A. lands is a felony.

The youth crew finished up a week ago. A lot of time was spent on storm cleanup. The bridge by Paul Beeksmas’s home needs to be addressed. Ben and Travis from Bayfield County Land and Conservation Department need to do a survey of the site.

Comprehensive Plan Update: Divine informed those present that the benches for the Bono Creek project have arrived. It is hoped to get the benches and grills in before October.

Ondossagon Road Update: Joan updated everyone via an e-mail message. A copy of that e-mail is attached.

NEW BUSINESS

Public Input: There was no public input.

Granting of Class B Combination Liquor License: An application for a Class B Combination Liquor License was received by Scott and Ann Kranz who are opening a Bar and Grill called Sparkies. Construction of the building is nearly complete. Upon completion, the license can be issued, but for now it should only be granted. Bretting made a motion to approve granting a Class B Combination Liquor License to Scott and Ann Kranz, seconded by Pocernich. Motion carried.

Presentation on Ondossagon Road Engineering: Jim Bollman and Phil Kriesel were present to discuss the engineering of the project. The Board decided to continue with MSA and their scope of services. They drove along the road and have a better perspective of what will be entailed in meeting the requirements of the project.

Presentation Regarding Financing of the Ondossagon Road Project: Rick Forsyth of Chippewa Valley Bank was present to go over some options for financing the Ondossagon Road Project. Other financial institutions will be contacted also.

Correction to the Ordinance of the Comprehensive Plan: Tabled until September.

Snowplowing: Approved new snowplowing policy. Contracts will get mailed out in September with a deadline of October 1st.

Amendment to Driveway Permit Application: Tabled until September.

Road Crew Report: Lucius indicated that the National Guard cleaned up a lot of downed trees from the July storm. Dr. McCue contacted him and wants the rock removed from the pit area so that he can access the old dump off of Range Road. He told him that wasn’t possible. Dennis and Chris requested that he work something out with McCue. Tires for the grader will be here in September. Wires were cut in for ceiling fans in the garage. Chris will follow up on seeing that they get put in.

Clerk’s Report: The annual picnic will be held on Saturday, September 10th from Noon to 4:00.

Chairman’s Report: Nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report: Sanders provided the monthly report. A copy is attached to these Minutes.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.

Expenditures: The expenditures were reviewed and checks approved and signed. Pocernich made a motion to accept the expenditures as presented, seconded by Bretting. Motion carried.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
