About me

Before retiring from full time teaching in 2006, I taught English at the University of Northern Iowa for many years.  

 In 1994, I was named the University's Distinguished Scholar and in 1998, its Outstanding Teacher.  The last award was particularly pleasing because it came from the nomination of students.
