In this project I have worked as a Research Fellow in the Cryptography and Security department of I2R. I was involved in developing devices (with USB interfaces) which can communicate with each other and perform secure data transfer. This hardware device has two parts which interact with each other securely to make a connection for file sharing. The benefits are that one can access the entire shared desktop PC and no configuration or VPN or login required. It is secured because it provides AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard) hardware-enabled encryption. This has been commercialized and generated a spin off company in Singapore (http://www.itwin.com/).
