0-4-0, 0-6-0, 0-8-0 and 2-6-0 Types
CLASS L consisted of one locomotive, the only 0-4-0 the BAR ever owned. No. 300 was built by Manchester in 1897 and was sold in 1917. It had 16x24 inch cylinders. It was photographed at Searsport.
CLASS P consisted of six 0-6-0's with 19x26 inch cylinders built by ALCO in Manchester, NH in 1905, 1907 and 1908. All were scrapped by 1937. Not pictured is the M Class 0-6-0 consisting of two engines built by Manchester in 1900-01 and scrapped in 1916-17.

CLASS SA, S-1A and S-2A consisted of three 0-8-0's purchased new by the BAR in 1928 (330) and 1931(340-341) and four 1922-built engines purchased from the Boston & Maine in 1946.
