1. The CCA grade is based on the LEAPS guidelines issued by MOE.
2. LEAPS stands for Leadership, Enrichment, Achievement, Participation and Service
3. The CCA grading is computed annually by the MOE computer system.
4. In order to obtain the full point for that year, a cadet needs to obtain an attendance rate of at least 75%. If the attendance falls below 75%, the CCA points may be fortfeited or annulled.
5. The table below outlines the CCA point system that is used for grading under the LEAPS guidelines.
6. For Sports, the criteria for award of points are as follow:

Bonus Points
7. Bonus points are awarded based on the grade attained and they can be used for admission to
a. the three year pre-university course in a centralised institute or
b. junior colleges. Note that the minimum entry requirements to JC remain unchanged or
c. polytechnic courses.
The table below shows the bonus points for the grade obtained.
How to earn extra CCA points?
8. Player who takes part in CIP work and accumulate CIP hours will be awarded with extra CCA points.
9. Player who manages a second CCA without jeopardising NCC performance will earn extra CCA points.
10. Being a prefect, school councillor, a sports leader or class monitor will be also awarded with extra CCA points.
11. For more details on the CCA grading system, cadets may wish to check with the teacher-in-charge or HOD/PE.
It is not that difficult to earn a B3 grade over a 4/5 years period provided YOU commit and preserve!!
