Feel free to check out my SSRN author page for more of my research.

You can find a link to my cv below. (The "publications" and "recent working papers" pages are updated more frequently.)

My recent research focuses on constitutional political economy.

I am particularly interested in the CPE of late antiquity and the medieval era in Europe. I am also very interested in the question of why and how modern "parchment barriers" may be effective.

Lastly, I am proud to state that I have more papers on Germanic barbarians accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals than any other economist on the planet. (I have 3.)

Welcome! I am professor of economics at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University, also research fellow and director of graduate students at the Free Market Institute.
