Calendar

The Ril Dyaran calendar mirrors ours, with twelve months of thirty days each, but they use the following names for each 'phase' of the seasons:

Years are reckoned from the founding of the first kingdom of man (see the Timeline for details). In common Ril Dyaran parlance, people reckon the year by the reigns of monarchs — for instance, "the tenth year of the reign of Candac".
