Straight in approaches to Rwy 27 are off-set to the south of Kemble village to avoid overflying it.

BRISTOL AERO COLLECTION
The collection currently includes the following complete aircraft. Bristol Type 1 Scout (1914); Bristol Type 30 Babe replica(1919); Bristol Type 171 Sycamore helicopter (1949); Bristol Type 175 Britannia Airliner (1952); Bristol Type 220 Executive Twin and a Hawker Harrier development aircraft 1990. Other classic aircraft (sometimes) on view at Kemble include a Gloster Meteor F8; Hawker Sea Fury and examples of Boeing Stearman are usually hangared on the airfield. There are various other components, models, mock-ups etc including engines, missiles and spacecraft.
Opening Times:
The Collection currently expects to open at least every Sunday for visitors from 1st May to 31st October 2001 between 1000 and 1600.

Concessions for Children under 14 and for Pensioners
There is good access for wheelchairs to all areas except the Concorde mock-up and the flight-deck of Britannia G-ALRX.
Car Parking is free.
Travel Information:
Kemble Airfield is in the Cotswold Hills about four miles south of Cirencester on the A429 Cirencester to Malmesbury main road. You can use the M4 London to South Wales motorway and turn off at junction 17 onto the A429 and follow signs to Malmesbury and then towards Cirencester. Kemble station a mile north of the airfield is served by fast trains approximately hourly between London (Paddington) and Gloucester via Swindon.
Refreshments available. Light snacks and meals can be found at the AV8 resturant by the control tower on the airfield.
