Instrumentation
The Pathfinder speedometer and tachometer gauges appear to be screen printed onto a sheet of aluminium. Most of the print on my dials had flaked off making it fairly illegible.
Using a scanner it was easy to capture the basic outlines and then import the image into in a desk top publishing package. This made it quite easy to reproduce a printable version of the dials.
I plan to laminate the printed version for now but would like to make a silk screen so that I can recover the original plate.
Front Grille
The grille was so baldly rusted it was perforated in places. Some body filler was used on some of the holes but the metal base was badly pitted.
The panel was hand painted to try and fill some of the pitting but it still looks quite pitted.
Dummy Engine Panel
This is the dummy engine panel painted in matt black.
Now painted in a crackle finish set in place in the body.
