The Auckland Bonsai Society meets twice a month. We have an evening gathering on the 2ND THURSDAY of the month, and a weekend workshop on the 2ND SUNDAY of the month. Read on for more information about our Thursday Meetings.
Thursday Meeting
Thursday night meetings could be anything from demonstrations to educational talks / discussions to workshops, interspersed with news affecting the club and quick tree spotting where we discuss various trees on the display tables. Visitors are more than welcome to come along and get a feel for what we're all about. Feel free to bring a tree you're working on or just come for a look and a chat!
Where: St Lukes Anglican Church, 704 New North Road, St. Luke's
When: SECOND THURSDAY of the month from 7-9:30pm (Note that sometimes the club night comes before the Sunday workshop). See our Events page for more specific details about each meeting.
Bring: A tree for the display table, and a tree to work on after the main body of the meeting.
Sales Table
Our sales table is a place where members can bring along any surplus they might have. If the bonsai bug has bitten hard (as it mostly does.....) you might have a great hoarding of plants, pots, books, and other bonsai memorabilia sitting around just looking for a new home. So why not bring them in! There is wire available by the metre as well as various tools and supplies.
