Thesis accomplished entitled "Fabrication and Characterization of Iron Disilicide Heterojunction Solar Cells", under the supervision of Prof. Chinmay Kumar Maiti, Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, India.
For three years during the course of my PhD dissertation, I had undertaken a systematic study on the deposition and characterization of FeSi2 on Si for Solar Cells application. This project involved details investigations of the photovoltaic properties of sputter grown β-FeSi2/Si based solar cells. The objectives of the investigation were to develop the methodologies for the improvement of the β-FeSi2/Si based solar cells efficiency by studying the photovoltaic performance of different active layer structures, Al interlayer incorporation and variation of interlayer thickness, optimizing the effect of active layer thickness, studying the effect of post deposition annealing.
Successfully completed a project titled "Studies on Ge/Si Nanostructures for Electronic and Optoelectronic Devices", under the supervision of Prof. Samit Kumar Ray, Dept. of Physics and Meteorology, IIT Kharagpur, India.
This project involved the development of Ge Nanocrystals based Floating Gate Memory Device and Si Nanostructures based Hybrid solar cell.
Successfully completed a project titled "Designing and Analysis of Low Cost Temperature Protection System for Personal Computer", under the supervision of Dr. Sumitra Mukhopadhyay, Institute of Radio Physics & Electronics, University of Calcutta, India.
Development of a 'temperature protection system' which sensed the temperature and sensed temperature was fed to a computer for displaying. And if temperature exceeded a threshold value, it gave a warning to the user and operating system was shut down automatically after a certain time.
