In 1992, I was selected by NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory as Oregon's "Ambassador to Jupiter." My role was to share with the public newest discoveries of the largest planet in the Solar System. The program became very popular and was expanded to include the entire Solar System! Now, my title is "Solar System Ambassador."
