June: Dr. Ashley Chung-Fat-Yim served as Area Co-Chair (Cognitive Effects of Bilingualism) at the International Symposium on Bilingualism in San Sebastian, Spain.
May: Congratulations to Sofia DiMeglio on placing 2nd in the Behavioral Science category at the 8th annual Somers Science Fair, which is the only competition of its kind in New York that allows first-year science research students to present their proposed research designs! The fair provides the opportunity for students to present their study proposals, based on a thorough review of the existing literature. This year’s fair included 764 students representing 38 different schools.
May: Dr. Ashley Chung-Fat-Yim was the Early Career Keynote Speaker at the Cognitive Neuroscience of Individual Differences in Adult Language Learning: Future Directions conference in Chicago, IL. The title of her talk is "The brain on language: How cognitive and cultural factors shape language learning and acquisition."
