Why do we need an HOA? The HOA was established and registered with the county in 1995 when the street was completed to maintain the private drive, the fence, and the entrance. When you purchased the home in this area, you agreed to be a member and join. If one does not pay, the dues will stay with the house.
What is the HOA responsible for? The HOA is responsible for common area maintenance. This includes not only plants, but also the fence along 206th and the private drive. With the $50 annual dues, it's difficult to allocate sufficient funds for road or fence repairs. The neighboring HOA “Amberview” has had issues collecting funds for the repair of their fence due to no reserve being setup (They have more landscaping and irrigation to pay for as well).
How are funds used? See the Payments & Accounting page. In addition to having the balances of lots published online, receipts for expenses related to the common areas will also be posted here. Scroll down to the bottom of the Spreadsheet and you'll see tabs for previous years receipts.
Funds for non common area use? Until a sufficient reserve is setup (and unless the majority of members wish it) the shared dumpsters and HOA funded activities will be suspended.
What personal information of mine is posted to the website? No personal information (name, phone number or email addresses of other members) is posted to the website.
