PTO meetings are typcially held on the first Thursday of the month at 5:00 in the AMS Media Center. All AMS staff, parents and guardians are welcome.
Tickets and volunteer opportunities for the 8th grade dance
The 8th grade dance will be on Friday, May 12 from 6:00 - 9:00pm. Tickets are $10 and go on sale in the cafeteria the week of May 8. The preference is to pay in cash, but parents may pay alsoPayPal (scan QR code for the Asheville Middle PTO Paypal account) or Venmo (@AshevilleMIddleSchoolPTO ) Ticket purchasers should add the student’s name to the “note” or “comment” section.

PTO Meeting on May 16
The next AMS PTO meeting will be on May 16 at 5:00pm in the Media Center. We will host our PTO leadership elections for the 2023-2024 school year. Every position is open. You don't have to attend the meeting to volunteer for a position.

Our Mission
The Asheville Middle School PTO's primary focus is to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community. We hope to bring the home and the school in a closer relationship and to facilitate communication between parents and teachers to better the education of children and youth. We also strive to develop united efforts between educations and the general public to secure the highest advantages for all children and youth in physical, mental, and social education.
Our Goals:
Be a source of communication and information regarding school activities and events
Promote parental involvement
Eliminate barriers to involvement by coordinated event scheduling
Promote commitment to student readiness
Foster relationships between parents, guardians, teachers, specialists, etc.
