COVID related considerations

I do not have a covid policy. I am just a single person renting my own weeks. To my knowledge, most such rentals have a policy of renter not being responsible for acts of nature or government which preclude usage. This is typical right now in airbnb rentals as well as other private rentals. This does of course make some vacation plans subject to risk/loss. The solution is to rent from hotels, which is far more expensive but does not carry this risk, as generally corporations do give refunds. I will understand if you cannot take such the risk involved in a private rental. I have a sample contract on this website, and my sentence regarding this risk I've had in that contract for over 10 years (this is not new for COVID): "Refunds cannot be given if your travel plans are disrupted for personal reasons, by government action, or due to any other extenuating circumstances." The situation is not totally unprecedented. In 2010 the Iceland volcano eruption halted airline flights to Aruba from Europe for several weeks. I didn't have any European renters at that time, but Aruba has heavy traffic from Europe and lots of private rental activity, so this issue was widely discussed during the volcano disruption.

I am also letting my potential renters know about Aruba's current COVID policies.
