“Shawshank Redemption”
Synopsis by Lilaine Rogers
Currently in our society, we are incurred with a burdensome amount of people who will be going in and out of the prison system for crimes ranging from petty-theft, to capitol murder in the 1st. degree. This social dysfunction has a special name. It is called recidivism. Recidivism is the constant leaving and returning of a population to a penal institution. It also means that out of 3 people that go to prison, 2 of them are on their second trip. The movie ”Shawshank Redemption” carefully and specifically demonstrates this phenomenon on screen.
The first clip shows scenes of the prisons architectural structure and the barren halls and cell rooms, in side of a condemned prison in St. Crox, Virgin Islands.
