San Jose, Bajo Los Anonos

Rio Tiribi runs through the central valley and between San Jose and the municipality of Escazu, west to San Jose.

On the banks of Rio Tiribi, there is a tin roofed neighborhood, most of it is illegal  construction and make-shift complexes, that collapse when it rains for too long.

In October 2010 it has been raining for 3 days.

There are areas in Costa Rica where quantities of rain are measured in meters (7 meters as yearly average is not unheard of).
