Graph Operations

This section describes manipulations of graphs already created. Read about the GRAPH mode in "Calculator Operations" if you want to learn on how to create graphs.

The graphing interface has been designed under the principle of minimizing the number of buttons, menus, etc. controls, and utilizing various touch gestures instead. The following gestures are recognized:

Pan = translate an entire graph

Grab the graph with TWO fingers and move it in a desired direction. (One finger pan is reserved for Tracer operations - see below.)

Pinch = scale graph in vertical, horizontal, or both directions

Pinch the graph with two fingers in 1) vertical direction to scale only the Y axis; 2) horizontal direction to scale only the X axis:

Pinch the graph with two fingers at about 45 degrees to scale both axes:

Single tap = turn the Tracer on

Tap the graph one time and with one finger to turn the Tracer feature on. Tracer will display your formula value at the tapped point.

Pan = move the Tracer

Pan with ONE finger to move the Tracer left and right.

Double tap = turn the Tracer off
